Spearmint oil

Also known as spearmint or Dutch mint. An essential oil obtained by steam distillation of the whole herb. It is derived from the fresh stems and leaves of the plant Mentha spicata (spearmint) of the Lamiaceae family through steam distillation. The main chemical component is carvone, with other constituents including limonene, pinene, myrcene, limonene, cineole, and menthone, among others. These components have properties such as dispelling wind and relieving external symptoms, reducing inflammation and pain, and exhibiting antibacterial and insecticidal effects.
